Voice Alerts on SlideMe
A lot of users have been sending Emails telling me that they could not find Voice Alerts Full on their Android Markets, that happens because some countries have still legal issues and there is not allowed to download paid apps.
So after a couple of requests i will also be publishing Voice Alerts on alternative Market Plattforms, i will do the try firstly with SlideMe, from which i read good opinions.

Voice Alerts Full >500 downloads, Lite > 10000
Last Week, Voice Alerts Full version has crossed the 500 downloads and the number of users download it is growing, the lite version has been downloaded 10000 times some weeks ago and now (as i write this post) it is by 10600.
Thanks everybody who downloaded Voice Alerts and specially , the ones who give me feedback by sending me emails with suggestions, new ideas , complains and bug reports. i am developing this app in my spare time and without help, have just one test device (Nexus One) and really appreciatte all your help and support.
I will keep developing Voice Alerts to make it better, check the Future Roadmap Section to know what is comming.
Lite Version Update
Hi!
I have recently updated the demo version of Voice Alerts, as some users had suggested now the Lite Version does not say constantly the “This is a demo” message, its just a limited version without gmail or twitter support.
Try it and if you like it and need more functionality, try the Full Version.

Hi there,
Lately i’ve been fixing some minor bugs that were causing the app to force-close on some concrete situations.
In the following days i will update the demo version to make it better, removing the disturbing ”This is a demo message’ and just unlocking some functionalities:
- Time alerts
- Sms alerts
- Battery alerts
- Boot alerts
Also tested the app with Android 2.2 Froyo emulator and everything seems to work fine.

After a long time being inactive in the developement of Voice Alerts and due to the email messages the users send me with proposal of bug fixing and new Features i have updated Voice Alerts with a couple of tweaks:
- Fixed bugs discovered by the new Android Martket bug listing feature. There where a couple of checks to be implemented on the configuration Screen.
- Added IN-Call Configuration (General Settings): Now you can configure if you want Voice Alerts to inform you while you are on a phone call, some users told find this disturbing and others helpfull so now you can choose how you want it.
I still have some TODOs in the Roadmap, so be aware of new updates.

Full Version Update -> 1.5 GMAIL SUPPORT!!!
After a couple of weeks working on it , I am glad to introduce you this new version of Voice Alerts , I jumped from the 1.1.4 to the 1.5 because I consider the following new features as mayor changes:
Gmail support
Not only your SMSs and Tweets are being read by Voice Alerts, now there is also support for GMail emails.

Soon your android will read your email
I’m working currently on a new big update of Voice Alerts, the goal is to make it read your Gmail incoming emails and possibly other accounts. Retrieving the data from Gmail was no big deal thanks to the opensource JavaMail Api port for Android but filtering all the Html content and metadata from the email body is a tough task, i will be improving the filtering algorithms during the week and hopefully by sunday you will get your weekly Voice-Alerts update.
Which features would you like to see being implemented concerning the Email Alerts? Please, leave a comment with your ideas, feedback is very important.
